Silencer question

Mines and 84 petrol (1.9 watercooled) but has similar mountings to the 1.7-2.0 Aircooled versions. Are these silencers in fact the same?

Don't buy an EMPI twin quiet pack exhaust (assuming that you are looking to fit a new exhaust), they are indeed s**t, as I have been told on this very forum but only after I had bought &fitted one (my fault for not asking first). The paint burns off VERY quickly and is instantly replaced by rust. We are talking days here or even just one 50 mile, motorway speed journey, not weeks or months!
I am now considering taking it off, having it sand blasted & properly painted with good quality heat resistant paint in an effort to make it last a reasonable amount of time. It does, however, sound quite fruity!
