Re: Vactan?
Cheers Brian, that was the plan. Also need to see where the ingress is, maybe the badge, wiper grommet or washer pipe leak.
Do you know if it's ok to paint over the Vactan or does that affect the properties of the Vactan?

Re: Vactan?
Vactan is reckoned to be the best. Just spend time getting rid of as much rust before you paint the Vactan on. Follow the instructions carefully. Do not put a contaminated brush into the bottle, put some of it in a jam jar lid or summat then throw away what you don't use. A little goes a long way. ...

Vactan?
Hi all,
I've found a spot of rust on the lowest part of my tail gate, about the size of a pound coin. Is Vactan the best product to use, or is there a better alternative?
Thanks
Bob

Re: Roof rack fixings for Westy
Thanks. They doo look smart & more compact/neater than other varieties of rack. I'm just not sure about bolting through the poptop!

Re: Roof rack fixings for Westy
Thanks ColG. How do the bars attach to the poptop? Are they clamped or bolted through?

Roof rack fixings for Westy
I'm looking into the idea of carrying Kayaks on the poptop roof of my Westy. So if anyone has any info on the mounting brackets/fixings (how they attach, weight limite etc) & roof bars that are available, that would be great.
Thanks.
Bob
Thanks.

Re: Subaru conversion specialist wanted
No probs, have seen their work in the flesh on Splitties & also follow them on Faceache, where they have posted up pics of a US import Westy T3. If my engine ever goes 'pop' I would look to go Scooby, so would be interested to see how you get on. Keep us posted!

Re: Subaru conversion specialist wanted
There is Fellows Speed Shop at Hopwood (M42 J2)
http://www.fellowsspeedshop.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I've seen their work on Splitties & the look spot on. Never used them myself, but I do know that they have also done a T25/T3.
Hope this is useful.

Fitting a 3point Buddy Seat into a Westy California ????
With another nipper on the way I'm considering my options for fitting a rear facing buddy seat with 3point harness, in my Westy California (LHD), behind the passenger seat. I appreciate that this is going to prevent the passenger seat from being spun, but looking at options. I don't really want to m...
