Decent welders in Surrey/SW London? (inner & outer sills)

Hello all,

First time posting on this forum!

I have an '81 air cooled T25 that unfortunately now requires replacement inner and outer sills welding in on the offside (they are rotten and beyond patching at this point).

I have purcheased the new parts from JK (Preservation Parts Offside Inner Sill with Jacking Point for VW T25 1979—1992 Part Number: J11408 *&* Sill and Lower Side Panel Offside (Right) VW T25 1979–1992 Part Number: J13898and now need to have them fitted!

I appreciate it is a relatively big job but was wondering if anyone can recommend any good (and ideally reasonably priced!) places to undertake the work? Unfortunately, I have never welded in my life and don't fancy taking this on as a first attempt!

Also needs a new clutch fitting (parts also ordered) and then he should hopefully be (relatively) spring/summer ready!

The van is based in Weybridge, Surrey so ideally finding a good garage locally from here would be grand.

Thanks in advance,
Tom.

I had front seatbelt mount and some other minor bits repaired, and tank replaced by Surrey Auto Works just outside Ottershaw - so pretty close to you.  Had to book it in well in advance as they always seem busy (which I take as a good sign).  They have fairly labour rate, but were very pragmatic on the hours etc so job ended up pretty reasonable overall.
