Should do, but why?! Do you really want to move your weight balance further back?!

All you'd need to do is fit up the tank strap captive nuts and bolts.

Not certain that it will as the 2wd gearbox sits higher than the syncro one..the diesel tank is shaped for the diesel starter....which might help, and is probably essential if the 2wd in q. is a diesel.

Not without dropping the gearbox down to clear the tank. Engine and gearbox sit lower in a Syncro than on a 2WD.
Also you'd have to fit the filler tube and metal work to fit the tank.
There are 4 different types of Syncro fuel tank, 2 diesels.
It requires some modding of the original syncro straps to fit to the 2WD at the bottom but the holes are there at the top for the straps and for the sound deadening holder frames.
Also, your servo pipes, throttle cable, brake lines and water pipes run slightly differently to avoid the tank.

If you want some pics, PM me as I've done the conversion.

Not quite so easy as "All you'd need to do is fit up the tank strap captive nuts and bolts."

Matt, there's still a bunch of bits that you'd need - I'm sure someone will have photos of the bits for you to make you feel better.
