First port of call would be the ignition, wet/worn leads or distributer cap can give those symptoms and a new set of plugs can't hurt.

Just start the engine and cycle the steering lock to lock a couple of times and it should be fine.

I have the Kameo and found all the wiring was run up where the zig unit would have went (i found it when I fitted one) The feed wires were in the cupboard under the cooker and both linked to the main battery, just disconnected one and connected it to my leisure battery(which I put in that cupboard)....

Mine too, has done since I fitted a replacement (i.e. wrong :) ) flasher unit. Dosn't seem to hurt anything though, mines been like that for about 3 years.

Will it select gears with the engine off OK? if so then it might well be the clutch if not it's likely to be the linkage or (less likely I hope) the box it's self.

Not sure what eber you have but the install instructions for the B2L and D2L list the main fuse as 16 amp. Suspect most of them will be about the same.
