Re: T25 Log book change from minibus
Thanks for the comments so far. I avoided mentioning the reason(s) for asking the Body Type change question because so many aspects have indeed been gone over many times and I didn’t want to go down that route again. That said, if anyone is new to the why-would-you-want-to-do-it question, this Ap...

Re: T25 Log book change from minibus
I have a similar question. I’m looking at an early T25 Caravelle tintop with twin side doors that is shown on the V5 as “D.5 Body Type = Minibus” It is currently running with 5 seats so doesn’t come under the DVLA definition of a minibus (8 or more passenger seats) Reading the DVLA website confirm...

Re: Gas bottle venting
I'm not an expert, but from my looking into this a couple of years ago, anything you installed needed a drop vent at the lowest point (as mentioned above), a 55MM(?) lip at the bottom of an access opening (to pool the heavier-than-air gas on its way out of the drop vent) and be sealed. I don't know ...

Re: Side and rear windows for panel van conversion
Maybe a starter ("fits either side" which is a bit odd as I thought they were usually sided as mentioned above. Maybe the seal makes up the difference?): Rear Side window If second hand is an option this seller sometimes has the glass for van conversions but you'll need to source the seals...

Re: Big Black Omega Clips.
After a bit of a faff with an ebay vendor cancelling my order, I ordered these from somewhere else for half the price... £5 for 50, delivered. Received within 2 days. 8) https://i.postimg.cc/MKcdH7wY/20230111-124240.jpg Should be enough to do the whole van. :ok https://i.postimg.cc/SNJSN7rd/2023011...

Re: Full front end replacement
Probably too late now, but just in case anybody searching comes here, this link might be a good starter. The restorer is doing waaaaay more than just the front but check the follow-on pages to see a lot of details of what is behind the front panels and how they tackled it (you'll have to go through ...

Re: Oil Temp and pressure gauge issues
Don’t know if this helps, but here goes. Firstly, the position of the oil temp sensor (the small one). The oil flow in–and-out of the adapter isn’t clear in the pictures. I can’t see how that can sense the oil temp way out there if there is no flow through the adapter. If it is simply a dead-end te...

Re: Brake pedal not returning fully
I have to admit I didn't change the spring, I just used a long strong spring between the pedal and the body (the bay spring is under the floor) to pull it back.
I don't have a T25 at the moment so can't picture how/if you might be able to do something similar.

Re: Brake pedal not returning fully
Is item 10 (tension spring) broken/missing in this diagram?
I had this on a bay once.

Re: Coolant Pipe. Left Head To Coolant Ring
Thanks to both. Aidan. The pipe to coolant rail needs to be about 14inches long. Its hard to judge really. Dave...tried this and still leaks. So l must assume theres a fault in the new hose. Annoying thing is it didnt leak with original damaged hose and spring clip  https://i.imgur.com/BrO...

Re: New FootWell/Welding Advice
Have a look at the last 3 photos on this link (if you click on them they'll open up larger). https://www.busandcamper.com/easley-earlybay-nose-repairs-valences-and-doglegs.html They show a repair to the step/dogleg on a T2 Bay, but the principle is similar. There is a combination of butt welding a...
