Re: EJ20- stalling at junctions ??
To the back of the speedo, with the rjes loom front extension
a plastic tab breaks off the rear of speedo revealing x2 unused threaded holes- the pick up wires come on a holder that just screws in and it plugs into the loom which holds x2 led's for immobiliser led and engine check light

Re: Subaru Aftermarket temp and oil pressure/temp gauge
They are all electrical and use senders . If I remember correctly r,the water temp is taken from a drilled and tapped port off the crossover manifold the oil temp and off an unused port on the left side of the block . Pip pressure uses an extended hose and adapt or off the original oil pressure por...

Re: Subaru Aftermarket temp and oil pressure/temp gauge
I use a set of Stack Pro Control Stepper Motor 52mm gauges with my EJ25 setup. http://www.stackltd.com/instruments_pro_control.html They are not cheap, but they are fully configurable and you can programme them to trigger warning buzzers, fans, lights... whatever you want. You can also programme th...

Re: EJ20- stalling at junctions ??
Thanks I was advised that manual cars leave it disconnected and auto - connected, but as you and richard say - go with whatever works. I will see how it goes.... and if stalling recurs I will reconnect the NP wire. Overall its running fine so far , but for a few niggles - Im keen to install an after...

Re: Subaru Aftermarket temp and oil pressure/temp gauge
Thanks How do the oil gauges plumb/plug into the subaru block to take readings ? - Does the "canister" that screws into the place where the oil light wire connected read both pressure and temperature and convert them to an elec signal to the gauge - I assume its not like my 1970 mini that ...

Aftermarket temp and oil - Subaru engine
Hi Anyone installed aftermarket water temp and oil pressure (or temperature) guages ? (Having successfully knackered the original one by attempting to disable permanently blinking (literally) light ) - I would like to have warning that'll shout with a degree of accuracy if somethings going wrong wit...

Re: CAN bus Subaru Conversion video diary
Don't forget the spacer ring on the bearing to stop it rubbing on the flywheel... (I did ) -
In my defence easily done as its only a thin wire ring and not on original assembly
annoying.... having to dis- and re - assemble the clutch.
At least I didn't get far forward before I realised.

EJ20- stalling at junctions ??
Hi Apparently a common "niggle" mentioned on subary forums - throwing up the no 24 fault code - "open circuit/bad IACV (idle air control valve)" Ticks over smooth as butter - revs and settles fine - but annoyingly cuts out if coming to a stop under braking (foot) and engine braki...

Re: aaz knacked, refurb aaz or 1y/aef? costs benefits?
Hi I did the AEF and was very happy with the upgrade from a 1.6CS (who wouldn't be ?) It coped with the mahoosive big tyres (225/80/14) on standard rims I later put on to give lower rpm at motorway cruising speed on the original 4 speed gearbox. Mine came out of a skoda felecia - which I sold scrapp...

Re: Matts Subaru conversion"top tip o the day"
Running very well and Yes cleared persistent error codes Mainly due to unconnected plugs and vac pipes, Cleaned up the IACV thing. better....but throws up the odd check engine light on overrun - usually going downhill (braking) - and ticker occasionally goes down to 500 rpm - but revcovers/occasiona...
