| Member No. 752 Dave Parsons ( Hershamboy)"This is my van ,the third type 25 I've owned - the others were a 1984 Devon moonraker and then a 1990 Holdsworth vill 3. I've had this one for about 18 months now and have been very happy with it, it's a 1989 Westfalia California 1.9 petrol, it's a five speed (which I do find advantageous) and has power steering. The van and I live in Hastings with my girlfriend Bronwen and our son Sam , and our dog Jessie". | ![]() |

Member No970 Ian Gilchrist (Gillymonster)"Had van for 3 years.its a 1982 2litre aircooled and was originaly a gleneagles conversion first thing i done was get the engine rebuilt by laurie petit then i stripped it and rebuilt it outside in scottish wintertime no expense was spared on the paintjob and i never got much change out of 40 quid including a 2 inch brush.None of my windows are the same size or tint and all were supplied by mr mcgill now of syncronuts as was every other piece of the van. we use the van all year round and recently fitted a propex.im not a great beleiver in shiny bits and would rather spend my wonga on usin the van |

| mberNo 995 Mark Mills (Bluebusbuilder) from Berkshire. 1983 2.0lt aircooled minibus. I brought this off ebay needing lots of tlc. The interior has been stripped out ready for a camper interior With new headlining and door panels fitted. The bodywork had no rust but did have a large dent in the n/s sliding door, Which i have replaced. The Engine was knocking when i got the van but has now been replaced with a secondhand one.I still have lots to do but hope to get the van back on the road very soon. | ![]() |
