Member No.10 - Tom Stockdale, based in Newark, Nottingham, 1980 1.9 watercooled T25 with Danbury conversion. It was originally a 1600 aircooled but came with a watercooled engine partly fitted. It is white and yellow with 5 spoke wheels and an elevating roof that was once electric but is now "broom handle". I am working on the engine and hope to have it running and MOT'd soon in time for a weekend or two this year before it gets to cold! If not I'll have loads of time to get it done for next year. I also plan to use it as a car if the fuel costs are not to bad and would like to get it running on LPG one day as its a lot cheaper!

Member No.16 - Plilippe Gloriant (Froggy Phil), based Le Portal, France, 1983 T25 1600, CREAM CRACKER one of the very last air-cooled sold in France, need bodywork good engine and cv joints but sliding roof is great beige/brown and rust, was 8 seats but camping inside in september

Member No.19 – Mark Hatton, aka ‘Type25marko' based in Weymouth , Dorset.1989. VW Caravelle 1.6 turbo diesel, 5 speed. Now fitted with Empi 5 Alloys, Green tinted windows, big bumpers clear front indicators.  Sold my original panel van last year and now have just the  2 Velles.  Want to upgrade to a Bluestar or similar spec multivan this year !!

Member No.25 - Paul Belcher, based in Farringdon, Oxfordshire, Bought the van just over two years ago, have struggled ever since to make it oiltight. I am currently looking to the possability of changing engines either to someone elses diesel(ie Peguot)or a 1600 petrol golf engine and then running it on gas for economy. My van is a total lifestyle support vehicle from my fishing trips to the coast, camping trips, days out with my family and still gets used as my daily driver for the trips to work and collecting the shopping. Known in the family as the Millyvan (reg no MLL 464 B)it is a popular and hard working family treasure.

Memeber No.30 - Phil Evans (Mr.Jolly), based in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex, 1982 2.0l aircooled T25, this is my first VW and I love it. I only got it in April but have already done 5,000(trouble free)miles in it. It's been to the Lake District, Yorkshire, Kent, Norfolk and Nottingham to name but a few places. I intend to make a few mods to it as soon as I know what I'm doing, this is my first introduction to VW's and aircooled, so I still have a lot to learn.
Member No.36 - Richard Dunford, based in Wakefield, 1983 1.9 water cooled with 72,00 miles on the clock. I have done lots of work on the vehicle and fitted chrome bumpers etc. I have boarded and carpeted the inside and it is my pride and joy.
Member No 38, Keith Morris, based near Grange over Sands in south Cumbria. 1982 Leisuredrive Crusader conversion with standard 2 litre aircooled (including pair of NOS carbs from Tatton Park 2000). Bought July 2000 very cheaply due to knackered engine (valve seat broken up) which I rebuilt with 2nd hand parts and also a shabby body which I have repaired and resprayed (replaced drivers and sliding doors with good 2nd hand ones). We have it so we can get away to canoe-sailing events among other trips such as 2 weeks in Brittany during summer 2001.
Member No 41 Simon Whitmore, Based in France 1983 Caravelle (The Bus), 1.9 DG, originally from Italy, Timor Beige/Merion Brown, same as USA "widebody ad", converted to run on LPG, 400 mile range "special" LPG tank = 44mpg running costs. Purchased in Oct 99, just before moving to the IoM in Dec 99, used for all duties, was well handy when people come to visit and for the trips "home" to Norfolk and South Lincs. Now on intercontinental transport duties....

Two tone blue body work which I had painted the week after I bought it. I had new bottom panels (inner and outer) fitted to slidding door. Already done 4500 miles since I bought it and has had two oil and filter changes. It is a 7 seater
Member No.53 - Chris Hole, based in Knowle, Bristol, 1990 Syncro Reimo conversion 1600 Turbo Deisel, I have only recently bought the van after owning a 1973 bay for the last 8 years, could not stand another winter without heat. The van has only had 1 previous owner who took it across the Arctic Circle, Africa, and the Pyrenees as well as Iceland they`ve got alot more bottle than me not to mention money, so the van is in semi retirement a bit like me really.
Member No.54 - Mark & Joy Haskett, based in Ashford, Kent, 1980 2.0l aircooled Devon Moonraker conversion. Purchased May 2000 (best thing we ever did!) VW dragon green and cream, sleeps four.

Member No.100 - Simon Davies, based in Bournemouth, 1989 T25 Syncro, been converting it to be a camper. Doesn't have a high top or a raising roof, but I like the low roof. Could do with a respray soon, especially as it's white! Want to fit some big wheels and some chunky off-road tyres soon.

Member No.173 - Geoff Brookes, based in Kidderminster. Five years ago, I saw `Dafne` the Devon Moonraker for sale on a local motor caravan dealer not more than half a mile from my home, instantly recognising it as the van some old friends of mine had owned from new in 1982. So a deal was instantly struck with my own T25 1984 diesel home converted van as part-ex. I think the dealer was surprised I knew more about this Devon Moonraker than he did. So their I was, the proud owner of a one previous owned from new original December 1982 2 ltr air cooled Devon Moonraker. Since owning `Dafne`, the steel wheels off my old T25 have found there way on, along with a new URO exchange engine, new heat-exchangers, exhaust, 34ICT carbs from Stateside Tuning. She runs very well and has stayed completely reliable contrary to some peoples experiences!. My T25 is much loved by my wife and three children, who we manage to fit (just) in the roof
Member No. 189 Doug & Jayne based in Essex - 1983 2.0l petrol. Bought the van in April 2000, I am the 2nd owner. The van had done 76k miles when bought and was a little bit scruffy. Internally a lot has changed, the old carpet came out and in went some sticky back lino type floor tiles and some new curtains. I also took the original cab seats and installed seats from a Saab. Externally, some rust coming through but not serious (fingers crossed). The stripes have come off and some shiny new hubcaps have gone on and a lot of elbow grease has gone into the application of Tcut and polish. The engine has not been touched. Had to have some work for MOT but nothing major. Plans? Lowering. Install LPG. Get a top-notch paint job done. Just had the bottom half sprayed, any rust found has been cut and the hole plated and welded up. Next step Chrome bumpers

Member No.223, Andrew Fynney based in Skellingthorpe, Lincoln, 1987 Autohomes conversion 1.9l, I bought the van in September this year from a local dealer. Only 50K (hopefully genuine) miles on the clock and so far no signs of any trouble. Am planning to get away from the rat race as much as possible, and really appreciate the freedom my camper has given me, plus the street cred that comes with owning a Dub!
Member No.228 - Paul Gurney based in Cumbria, 1984 1600 diesel, I've had my type 25 for about 4 weeks and I love it! I got it from a local garage that had it as a trade in, he knew I was into VW's and asked if I knew anyone who would be interested. When he told me the price I thought it would make a good runner for the winter to keep my restored '72 Beetle off the road and then sell it come the spring. But plans change and I've started the restoration on the type 25, not much to do really, the interior has been attacked by the carpenter from hell but the body is OK but looking a little tired so it will get a respray in the new year
